Gwendolyn Watts

March 18, 1931 — September 3, 2019

Gwendolyn Watts, 88, passed away on September 3, 2019.  She was born on March 18, 1931, in McKinney, Texas to the home of Jimmie E. and Eula Mae Smith.

She worked at DeGolyer & MacNaughton for many years.  In her retirement years, she kept busy sewing, painting, and crocheting.  She also enjoyed doing craft projects and made personal greeting cards to mail to her friends and family.  Gwen had a strong Christian faith and was a member of Southside Assembly of God in Garland, Texas for many years until she moved.  She had a great sense of humor and joked and laughed with everyone.  She was loved by everyone and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Gwen is survived by her children Jaylyne Palmer and husband Randle, Judy Palmer, Jan Morgan and husband Dean, and Patricia Kemp and husband Clay; brothers Ronnie Smith and James "Buzzy" Smith and wife Barbara; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren;  and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde Watts; and sister Laverne Sewell.
