Glennes Langford

Glennes Gerome Langford, 69 of Mabank, Texas passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019. Glennes was born in Big Spring, Texas on May 6, 1949. Glennes married her best friend and the absolute love of her life Fred Langford on May 30, 1967.  They were married 51 years.

Glennes worked in the Oil Industry for many years before becoming a buyer for Metro Inn. Glennes retired early to become a dedicated stay at home mother. Fred and Glennes moved their family to Cedar Creek Lake in 1985. Glennes enjoyed boating, swimming and skiing with her husband, children and multitude of friends. Their lake house later became the go-to spot for all of her sons’ friends and eventually grandchildren.

Glennes was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. You could always find her on the sidelines being one of the loudest cheerleaders for the people she loved. She was such a strong and loyal woman who welcomed anyone into her home when they needed help. Glennes was so proud of her family and friends and will be remembered as “MamaLank” to so many.

Glennes is survived by her spouse, Fred Langford. Her mother-in-law, Bonnie Langford. Children, Jason & Melannie Langford, Kevin & Summer Langford, Adam & Michelle Langford and grandchildren Tuesday, Gavyn, Trinity, Kirstyn, Kail, Wayne, Olivia, Krew and Abel.

Glennes was preceded in death by her parents, JT and Vera     Wilkinson, father-in-Law, Alton Langford, Uncle Artie and Aunt Angie Madewell, and brother, Thomas Wilkinson.
