Faith LaNelle Gillreath, 89, passed away on August 27, 2021. She was born on January 24, 1932, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Joe Louis and Beatrice Valentine Enslen.
She graduated from Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, TX. She lived in Oak Cliff until the early 1970’s when she moved to Gun Barrel City, TX. She also lived on Guam for a short time while her husband was in the Navy. LaNelle owned and operated Lake Area Office Supply in Gun Barrel City in the 1980’s and 1990’s. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Mabank, TX, and a member of the Red Hat Club. She liked Indian Paintbrush and Bluebonnets, the Dallas Cowboys, playing cards, and fishing. LaNelle will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by sons Larry L. Gillreath and wife Lisa of Gun Barrel City, TX, and Todd L. Gillreath and wife Lisa of Muscle Shoals, AL; grandchildren Jennifer Gooch, Lindsay Gillreath, Taylor Guy, Bailey Gillreath-Brown, Jackson Gillreath, Cooper Gillreath, and Harper Gillreath; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws Sue Benton of Clifton, CO, Deana Atchison of Athens, TX, and Lanette Graves of Delhi, LA; nephew Keith L. Robins of Nacogdoches, TX; nieces Donna Smith of Dayton, TX, Kim Simpson of Lufkin, TX, and Stacy Robins Tate of San Antonio, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Thomas A. Gillreath; sisters Christine Enslen, and Catherine Robins.
Eston Williams will officiate for the Gillreath family.
