Elbert Earl Stamps

Elbert Earl Stamps (Mike), 66, passed away on September 22, 2021.  He was born on February 24, 1955, in Chattanooga, TN, to parents Albert Andrew Stamps and Hazel Lorraine Whitmire.

He married the love of his life, a woman he had seen in a photograph, Deborah Lynn Graham, on December 29, 1973.  He then began his great love of trucking.  He passed away in Eugene, OR after his final and last load was delivered. He was a resident of the Mabank area for over 28 years. He was known by many as "Big Mike.”   Elbert and Deborah had two children, a son Crit Elbert Stamps, and a daughter Linda Shane Stamps, both of the Mabank area.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Andrew Stamps and Hazel Lorraine Whitmire; sisters Susan Maynard, Sarah Allen, and Diane Ward.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Deborah Graham-Stamps; son Crit and Doris Stamps; daughter Linda Stamps and partner Melaine Germino; 6 grandchildren Darbi Anderson, Dillon Gragsone-Stamps, Makayla Wallace, Zachary Cassel, Breanna Fuller, and Jarrod Stamps; 4 great-grandchildren Kyndal, Dusten, Jr., Marli Anderson, and Barron Eisenbach; and one great-grandbaby on the way; aunts and uncles and many cousins in Signal Mountain, TN.
