Edna Mae (Wood) Davis, age 82, passed away on December 28, 2024, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born on November 18, 1942, in Kenefic, Oklahoma to parents James and Laura (Franks) Wood. 

Edna was a cherished member of her community and known for her kind, loving spirit. Edna's heart was as big as her talents; she had a wonderful ability to connect with those around her and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

A true lover of animals, Edna had a special affinity for cats. Edna was also accomplished in many creative endeavors. She was an excellent seamstress and talented quilter, often spending her leisure time crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her eye for detail and love for fabric. When she wasn't busy working on her sewing projects, she could often be found indulging in one of her favorite pastimes: shopping, particularly at garage sales, where she had a knack for uncovering hidden treasures at bargain prices.

One of her proudest achievements was her culinary skill-she was a gourmet cook who delighted many with her creations. Notably, her prize-winning jam cake became a beloved staple at family gatherings and celebrations.

Edna had a zest for life that was infectious, and she was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Mavericks, always ready to cheer for her team with enthusiasm. Her loyalty and passion for the game showcased her spirited personality.

Edna was a loving wife, mother, and friend and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. 

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Wood; son, Jimmy Carroll Harris; grandson, Austin Carroll Harris; sisters, Evelyn Thomas, Dorothy McCallum, and Maxine Kirby; and brother, James Wood.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Carol Annette Fogleman and husband Calton of Kemp, Texas; daughter, Linda Sue Rasor of Fort. Worth, Texas; dear friend, Dwight Simms of Carrollton, Texas; sister, Allene Abeyta; grandchildren, Katie Fogleman, Laura Holubec and husband John, Delinda Vaughan, Ricky Vaughan, Jr., Melissa Hill, Heather Dean, and Jami Farris and husband John; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
