Donald Marvin Sturch

Donald Marvin Sturch, 83, passed away on July 27, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.  Don was born on May 27,1936 in Dallas, Texas to the home of Jack and Gertrude Sturch. Don graduated from Adamson High School in June 1954.  Don married Sharon Gail Manning on July 17, 1954.  This union resulted in four children; Pamela (Garland), Donna (Gun Barrel City), Rickey (Garland), and Gregory (Mabank).  Sharon and Donna passed away from cancer and Greg from a car accident.

Don’s career was an electrician and worked up to master electrician working mainly at Libcap Electric and Able Electric.  Don moved to Mabank, Texas in 1980 and started an electrical and AC business which served the Cedar Creek Lake area.

Don was blessed to meet and marry Martha Ann Dosier in 1991 and gained a marvelous stepson, Michael LaFon (Austin).  Don and Martha, along with their dog companion Marvin, travelled the US and Canada until Martha’s death in 2014.   Don loved playing golf and going to church.   Don was a member of Landmark Church of Christ in Kaufman, Texas.

Don passed away surrounded by family at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, Natalie and Lillian, for all they did.

Don leaves behind his sister and brother, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
