Debra "Debbie" Faye Shaid

Debra “Debbie” Faye Shaid, 59, passed away on August 7, 2021.  She was born on February 21, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Joel Lynn and Joyce Faye Carey.

Debbie was a very proud and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent her days as a homemaker taking care of her family in any way possible.  She loved to paint and loved spending time with family, friends, and many dogs.  Debbie had a beautiful, kind, giving soul and never knew a stranger.  She had a laugh so warm and contagious it would have the whole room lit up with laughter.  She was fun and feisty but would protect her family at all cost, a lover and a fighter.  She was very spiritual and very outspoken.  She was one tough woman who loved her family deeply.  She will leave behind many memories that will forever live on through her family.  She will truly be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael “Mike” Don Shaid, Sr.; children Shana Faye Tucker and husband Lloyd, Julie Lee Shaid, Jamie Lynn Shaid, Russell Don Shaid, and Michael Don Shaid, Jr., and wife Ashley; grandchildren Mariah,Ty, Lil’ Larry, Jalen, Jada, Jaden, Miley-Kate, Mikey, Malachi, Courtney, and John; brothers Edward Carey and wife Barb, and Johnny Carey.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents.

Bro. Ed Shauer with the First Church of the Nazarene in Gun Barrel City, Texas, will officiate for the Shaid family.
