Dawna Lynn Nation, 55, passed away on October 18, 2020. She was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, to John and Millie Ballard on January 22, 1965.
She graduated from Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas, in 1983. Don and Dawna Nation were married on May 9, 2009, in Kaufman, Texas. She was a loyal employee of Shelter Park at Dallas Lovefield Airport, Independent Propane Company, and Office Manager of Rodeo Plastics in Mesquite for many years until she retired for health reasons. After retirement, Dawna enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her Bible and books, growing beautiful flowers and plants, shopping, fishing, hunting, traveling, camping, and being outdoors with her husband, Don. She truly enjoyed her retired life at Lake Fork. She will be deeply missed!
Left to cherish her memory are husband Don; children Brandon Carlson and wife Crystal, Breanne Stowe and husband Sam, Casey Nation and wife Hope, and Cammy Nation; grandchildren Kylee Carlson, Makayla Carlson, Addison Stowe, Allie Stowe, Aubrey Stowe, Ashlynn Nation, and Bailey McCarter; mother Millie Ballard; brothers Danny Ballard and David Ballard and wife Traci; sister Debbie Burrows and husband Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dawna is preceded in death by her father, John Wayne Ballard.
