David William Bohannon, Jr., 68, passed away on September 26, 2022. He was born on October 16, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to parents David William Bohannon, Sr. and Pauline Dennis Bohannon.
Bo loved God, his family, and his friends that became family. He is also known as Bo “Dennie.” When you were his friend, it was a lifetime friendship. He kept up with everyone with phone calls and messages and made sure you knew you were loved, “I love you mostest.” He also loved his country his heartfelt patriotism to those that serve, have served, and will serve. He always wore RED on Fridays (Remember Everyone Deployed) and said the Pledge of Allegiance daily. He called veterans every Veterans Day to thank them for their service. Bo loved to sing in church, play and write his own music. His music room was very special to him. He loved to share it with his friends. He always said, “One day, God was going to let him sing tenor.” He loved fishing and could tell you where every pond, lake, or creek was this side of Texas. He could tell you some “fish stories.” Bo was a polio survivor; he will be known as a person that never gave up. He worked hard for his family and played harder. He used his experience to guide and encourage others never to give up. He showed his bravery every day and was a role model for many. He had a special talent for making everyone feel special and think they were his favorite. Most everyone really was his favorite. He never met a stranger and truly saw the good in every person he ever met. He always said,” I want my epitaph to say, “He was a Friend.”
