David Ben Crockett, 54, passed away on January 18, 2021. He was born on September 20, 1966, in Longview, Texas.
David loved to bowl and was good at it. He loved Nascar. He was strong in his opinions; he would argue his points and tell you all about it. He was known for his favorite response to any type of information….Hmmm. It was his versatile response to many situations, and it worked for him. He was always a voice of reason and gave the best advice. His sense of humor and his laugh will be missed so much. He had an amazing work ethic and was a hard-working man. He had a super soft spot for his kids and grandkids. He was fair and made every effort to do everything he could for his kids. As for his grandkids, it wasn’t hard for them to get what they wanted from Peepaw/Poppy. You could see him most of the time in jeans, his polos, tennis shoes, and always his hat. That was his all-occasion attire.
David is survived by his wife of 19 years, Tracye Crockett; his mother Joann McCuen; children Chrystal Graham and husband Michael, David Crockett, Roxanne Kupper, and Laura Thurman and husband Bobby; grandchildren Tylee, Brandon, Jayden, Olivia, Kinlee, Isaac, Kileigh, Ruger, Braylea, and Jaxon; brothers Rex Martin, Jr., Derriel Martin, James Martin, Kevin Martin, Ricky Martin, and Terry Martin; sisters Leona Allen and Elizabeth Braun; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Rex Martin.
