Cynthia Gale Loy, age 66, passed away on April 8, 2025, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born on September 26, 1958, in Streator, Illinois to parents Calvin and Betty (Wood) Loy.
For the past 46 years, Cynthia called Texas home. She lived a rich life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful memories. Holidays and family trips were at the core of her joy, providing countless stories and cherished moments that her loved ones will carry with them forever.
Cynthia had a warm and welcoming personality. She adored spending time with family, especially her beloved grandkids, who always brought her immense joy. Her hobbies reflected her lively spirit; she enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time outdoors, often four-wheeling through the scenic Texan landscapes. Football also held a special place in her heart, whether watching games or cheering on her favorite teams.
Cynthia's proudest achievements were her two sons, whom she raised with love and dedication. They were a constant source of pride for her, and she invested her time and energy into nurturing them into wonderful individuals.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Betty Loy; brother, Rodney Wayne Loy; and sister, Regina Lynn Loy.
Cynthia is survived by her sons, Jeremy Loy, and Calvin Loy and his wife Shawna; granddaughters, Angel and Caroline Loy; sisters, Glenda Jo Loy, Tina Marie Loy, and Connie Jo Leavitt; nieces, Loren Taylor; nephews, Lucas Leavitt, Rory Taylor, Barandis Loy, and Edward Loy; as well as numerous other family, friends, and loved ones
