Christine Walls Clark

Christine Walls Clark, age 73, passed away on January 13, 2025, at her home in Kemp, Texas. She was born on October 27, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to parents Lee and Laverne (Trobaugh) Walls. 

Christine had a long career of 20 impactful years with Love Envelopes in Dallas, Texas, where she was known for her dedication and commitment. She also spent 15 years contributing her friendly smile and customer service skills at convenience stores.

Christine was very proud of her family. She delighted in the arrival of her grandchildren, celebrating the birth of her first grandchild in 1985, followed by a second in 1988, and a third in 2010. Christine's joy multiplied when she became a great-grandmother, welcoming her first great-grandchild in 2011 and another in 2014. Each of these little ones held a special place in her heart.

Christine was known to be very sweet, although she didn’t shy away from standing her ground. As loyal as the day is long, she rarely complained about her circumstances and had a knack for being stubborn when needed. Christine’s hobbies reflected her vibrant personality - she thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo, often visiting Winstar or Choctaw Casino. A fan of thrilling tales, she frequently lost herself in the pages of James Patterson books. She was also a fan of games, enjoying playing Candy Crush on her phone and engaging in lively rounds of cards and dice games. Christine particularly loved spending time with her two precious chihuahuas, Marina and Lucy.

Christine took great pride in raising two wonderful children who respected everyone and exhibited commendable politeness. Throughout her life, she enjoyed two loving and long-lasting marriages, both of which contributed to her rich life experiences. Christine was a special person, and she will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.

Christine is preceded in death by her ex-spouse, Norman Gilliland, Sr.; parents, Lee and Laverne Walls; sister, Sheila Sue Walls; sister, Connie Lee Pizana; sister, Cathy Ann Walls; and niece, Katie Rountree.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Alecia Gambrell and husband Michael Witherspoon of Kemp, Texas; son, Norman Gilliland, Jr. and wife Angie of Highland Village, Texas; grandson, Frank O. Gambrell II of Kemp, Texas; grandson, Derek Little and wife Tamala Golden of Chandler, Texas; granddaughter, Drey Gilliland of Highland Village, Texas; great-granddaughter, Laci Little of Chandler, Texas; great-grandson, Ace Little of Chandler, Texas; sister, Cindy Walls of New Castle, Pennsylvania; 10 loving nieces, 2 amazing nephews, as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
