Charles Russell Easley

Charles Russell Easley, 73, of Eustace, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020.  He was born on October 18, 1946, in Athens, Texas, to the home of Gordon & Essie Easley.

Charles worked hard all his life; he retired in 2010 from Oncor with 45 years of service. He wasn't ready to slow down, so he went back to work for Fred McCurley Enterprises as an FCC Inspector. Charles was well known as he never met a stranger. He loved helping people and was a great all-around hardworking man. Anyone that knew Charles knows he enjoyed driving backroads, mowing his yard, riding in his mule checking on his cows, cookouts, but mainly spending time with his kids, grandkids & dear friends.  Charles was a 32nd Degree Mason.  In 1996 Charles and his family started a trail ride called The Easley Trail Ride; all donations went to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Dallas.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Donna Easley; his daughters DeAnna Browning and her boyfriend Scott Spurgeon, Shannon Easley & her boyfriend Frank Scott; son David Easley & his girlfriend Courtnee Bell; 6 grandchildren Mallory Pfeifer & her husband Matt, Brantley Easley, Chandler Easley, Zane Easley, Leyla & Emoree; 3 sisters Bobbette Hull, Loette Self & her husband Lloyd and Rose Lee Hamilton and a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters Florence Warren, Mary Ann Head, Edwina Coots and Patsy Lay.

Bro. Frankie Dilworth & Ricky Wallace will officiate for the Easley Family.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers; please donate to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Dallas in Charles Easley's honor.
