Charlene Cravey, 86, passed away at home with family by her side on December 22, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1935, in Lamesa, Texas, to parents Charlie Woodard and Maudie Opal Wilburn Woodard.
Charlene moved to the Eustace area in 1950. She worked in the lunchroom cafeteria for about 21 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She raised her brother and sisters when she was a child herself. Her life was her children; she always put them first, as well as the other kids to follow. Charlene was the glue in our family and the love we all have for her is unimaginable! She was the best mother anyone could ever hope for!! She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children Rick and Bonnie Cravey of Arkansas, Jim and Sandy Cravey of Arkansas, Sue Barndt of Eustace, G.R. & Maudie Rich of Mabank, Darrell and Barb Cravey of Eustace, and Kenny and Shannon Cravey of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara Stewart and Nany Crumpton; sister-in-law Charlotte; and brother-in-law Fritz Cravey.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Jim O. Cravey; brothers Sonny Woodard and Jay C. Woodard; and sister Shirley Sampley.
Dale Boyd will officiate for the Cravey family.
Pallbearers are Micah Cravey, Shy Killian, Brian Cravey, Clayton Cravey, D.J. Cravey, Matt Cravey, Will Cravey, Jason Barndt, Aaron Barndt, and Logan Cravey.
