Carl Norman, Jr., 50, passed away on August 2, 2022. He was born on October 13, 1971, in Decatur, AL, to parents Carl Norman, Sr. and Mary Herron Norman.
Carl greeted everyone with a firm handshake and a warm smile. He would never lie! He was the ultimate “handyman.” He could repair cars, lawn mowers, vacuum cleaners, and anything mechanical. He kept a stubborn propane heater running through “snowmageddon,” helping his neighbors stay warm and fed in their homes. If you had a remodel project, Carl’s expertise was “tear out.” He was a superhero on demo day! He could stretch a nickel into a dollar and give back change. Carl loved life, his children, grandchildren, and especially his wife, Lisa. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother Mary Norman; his wife of 22 years Lisa Norman; children Marissa Anderson, Mark Anderson, and Dwayne Norman and wife Autumn; grandchildren Valerie Dethan, Axel Anderson, and Ema Norman; brother Billy Norman and wife Amy; and sister Ruby Slay and husband Thomas.
Carl is preceded in death by his father Carl Norman, Sr.; brother Gary Norman; and sister Tammy Saint.
Pastor Ed Shauer, with First Church of the Nazarene in Gun Barrel City, Texas, will officiate for the Norman family.
Pallbearers are Mark Anderson, James Adrian, Billy Norman, Eddie Bly, Justin Martian, John Nordin, and Bobby Wakeland.
