Bobby Earl Lewis, Jr., 65, passed away on February 13, 2022. He was born on December 30, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Bobby Earl Lewis, Sr. and Joyce Lee Chaney Lewis.
After graduating high school, Bobby went to the Sinai Desert to work as a government contractor building infrastructure for the region. Upon returning to Texas, Bobby went into business as a heavy machine operator working various major projects in and around Texas. In 1982, Bobby had a son named Bradley Earl Lewis, who Bobby fondly called Hammer Head and Bugger Red. In the past 10 years, he acquired a license from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in OSSF installation and started his own OSS business.
Bobby enjoyed life, and no one he met remained a stranger. He was a true friend to the people in his life and was always willing to help, no matter what. He knew how to tell a story; listening to one of his stories made you feel connected to the story and to him. Bobby was the bright light in a dark room. He will be missed. Hook’em Horns, Dad!
He is survived by his father, Bobby Earl Lewis, Sr.; son Bradley Earl Lewis; brother Billy Jack Lewis; sisters Debra Lewis, Brenda Handley, Linda Oehlschlager, and Pam Church.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Joyce Lee Lewis and sister Lisa Kay Sherlock.
Jonathan Lilley, Chaplain, Caring Hearts Hospice, will officiate for the Lewis family.
Pallbearers are Daniel McPherson, David McPherson, Garrett Oehlschlager, Charlie Oehlschlager, Daniel Foster, and Ronnie Reynolds.
