Billy Joe Cox

Billy Joe “BJ” Cox passed away on March 31, 2020.  He was born on December 29, 1950, in Dallas, Texas.  He grew up in Duncanville, Texas, and attended Mountain View College.  While in his twenties, he moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area, where he has lived ever since.  His hobbies included bowling, collecting model cars and trucks, and was a big NASCAR fan.

BJ is preceded in death by his father, Eldon Lee Cox Sr. and mother, Pauline Cox Burger.

BJ is survived by Patricia Cox Cleveland of Red Oak, Eldon Lee Cox, Jr. of Nacogdoches, and Gary Cox of Benbrook, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends from Duncanville High School.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the DHS class of 1970, who started a “Go Fund Me” page to help offset the cost of his cremation arrangements.
