Billie Jean Bridges Boehme

March 19, 1932 — January 26, 2025

Paris, Texas

Billie Jean Bridges Boehme, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at the age of 92 in Paris, Texas. Born on March 19, 1932, in Kemp, Texas, Billie was the cherished daughter of Grover Cleveland and Annie (Teetz) Bridges.

Growing up in Mabank, Texas, Billie was one of ten siblings, filling her childhood with love, laughter, hard work, and adventure. She attended Mabank schools, where she excelled. During her youth, she met the charming young spitfire, Billy Ray Boehme, who went on to be the love of her life. They married on December 7, 1950, embarking on a beautiful journey together that spanned 64 years until Billy’s passing. Their marriage was a testament to love, partnership, and perseverance.

Billie was of the Baptist faith, and her strong beliefs were a guiding light throughout her life.

Billie was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of western novels or the daily newspaper. Her love for puzzles, particularly crosswords, showcased her sharp mind and determination. But it was in the kitchen where Billie truly shined—her cooking was legendary. From hearty dinners to decadent desserts, her talents brought family and friends together, creating cherished memories around the table. No one ever left Billie Jean’s house hungry!

Above all, Billie will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was kind, thoughtful, and loving to all who knew her.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Annie Bridges; her husband, Billy Ray Boehme; and her nine siblings.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her family, her son Mark Boehme and wife Anne; daughter Cindy Boehme; her granddaughter, Chrissy Earls and husband David; her grandsons, Josh and Joe Flanery; her two great-grandsons, Coby and Adin Barnes; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

Billie Jean’s life was a testament to grace, love, and resilience. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the recipes passed down, and the love she instilled in her family. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
