Betty Barnhart

Betty Johnson Barnhart was born August 5, 1938 in Dallas, TX to Oris Johnson and Ima Dupree Johnson and passed from her earthly home and family to her heavenly family on February 6, 2014. Betty loved playing bingo, she love family and enjoyed family get togethers and she certainly loved her dog Charlie just like one of her kids. She will be greatly missed by thise who know and love her. Betty worked at Eli Schepps Wholesale for 25 years and then Grocery Supply in Dallas before retiring to the Cedar Creek Lake Area. She then worked at Chek N G until her health failed. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Oris and Ima Johnson, and her great grandson Boyd Steel Rogers. She is survived by daughter, Charlotte Rogers Scrimshire of Tool, TX, Lavonda Berry of Dallas, TX, Patricia Taylor of Kemp, TX and son Ricky Rogers of Cloudcroft. NM, brother Dale Johnson of Forney, TX, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be by Rickey Rogers, Brandon Crawford, Blake Castro, Chase Castro, Tommy Barnhart, Eric Castro, Lance Crawford and Ty Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Lance Corporal Tyler Thornsberry, Casey Rogers and Ryan Barnhart. Services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Moorhead Epps Funeral home, Gun Barrel City, TX.
