Barbara Lee Pierce

Barbara Lee Pierce, 85, passed away on September 11, 2022.  She was born on December 12, 1936, in Gainesville, Texas, to parents William Lee Shell and Lizybell Ellen Cook Shell.

She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, watching old TV shows, and especially telling Papa what to do.  She was a strong, independent, and unique woman that will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Lee William Shell and Lizybell Ellen Shell, sister Betty Joyce Drain, and grandson Jess Dale Wyatt.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joe Darrell Pierce; sister Janie Pearce and husband Johnny; children Rick Wyatt and wife Julie, David Wyatt and wife Laurie, Nettie Hinton, Darrell Pierce, and Teresa Gibson; 14 grandchildren; an abundance of great-grandchildren; and a countless amount of friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Grandma’s favorite Charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Ricky Wyatt will officiate for the Pierce family.
