Barbara was born on November 1, 1956, and passed away on December 4, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. She was born at Ft. Hood in Killeen, Texas, to Derrell E. Woolverton, Sr. and Joan B. Woolverton Garland. She attended military schools until her father retired when she was 15 years old. She graduated early from W.W. Samuel and Mesquite High.
Barbara was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Scurry, Texas, where she worked in the nursery. Oh, how she loved her babies!
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James Cannada of Canton, Texas; sons Patch Moulton of Canton, Texas, and Stephen Cannada of Georgia; daughters Celena Cannada of Nebraska, Melonie Cannada of Arkansas; sisters Mary Hamilton of Athens, Texas, Laura Avant and husband Doyle of Payne Springs, Texas; brother Derrell E. Woolverton, Jr. of Athens, Texas; grandchildren Shine, Shuey, and Vincent Bernhagen of Nebraska; nieces Serena Burelsmith, Natasha Woolverton, Macayla Woolverton; great-niece Ryleigh Ray; nephews Jay Woolverton, Austin Burelsmith, Clayton Burelsmith, Bradyn Burelsmith; great-nephew Jayson Gustin; and many cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by both parents and niece Lee Ann Avant.
