Barbara was known for her feisty and strong-willed personality. Barbara found joy in various hobbies and interests throughout her life, music and dancing was something she especially loved. One of her fondest memories was attending a Jerry Lee Lewis concert. She even tried to pass the love for dancing on to Dale despite his two left feet. She had a deep love for gardening, especially for her beloved roses and marigolds. Barbara also enjoyed fishing and cherished moments discussing fond memories with her brothers and sisters.
However, Barbara's proudest accomplishment was being a mother to her son. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she poured her heart and soul into creating a loving and nurturing home. Barbara was a strong believer in the Lord, in her last days, she reaffirmed her belief and faith in Jesus as her Savior.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Minnie Thomas; stepdad, Harley Rogers; brother, Donald Ray Thomas; brother, Butch Thomas; and sister, Mary Thomas.
Barbara is survived by her son, Dale Ferguson and wife Brenda of Gun Barrel City, TX; granddaughter, Heather Boatright and husband Daniel of Mabank, TX; great-grandson, Gibson Boatright of Mabank, TX; great-grandson, Ashton Boatright of Mabank, TX; sister, Pattie Johnson of Scurry, TX; sister, Joann Thompson of Palestine, TX; brother, Jerry Lynn Thomas of Garland, TX; brother, Ronnie Thomas, and numerous other friends and loved ones.
