Amanda Gene Dennie, 38, passed away on November 29, 2021. She was born on January 27, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Billy Gene Dennie and Ann Shoemake Dennie.
Our little light came into this world January 27, 1983. She was always so happy and curious. Her smile has always been so bright and beautiful.
Amanda didn’t know how to do anything but love. She wasn’t always as outspoken as we all knew her today. She was such a sweet, sensitive, and tender girl. She loved big. She loved life.
Amanda was the baby of the family, our forever little girl. Although the baby, and the one that the family looked after most, she showed us all just how strong she was under all that sweetness. She inspired all of us with her strength and grit. She loved fiercely. She laughed hard. She forgave always. Amanda was really good at forgiving and moving forward.
Our little purple-loving princess loved looking at the moon and stars. She loved animals, especially her dogs and fish, and most of her world revolved around her children. She was an amazing mom. Amanda loved a good time; she loved dancing and cutting up. She didn’t hesitate to teach us a dance move or two.
Amanda fought a hard fight. She never gave up, even at the end. Please carry on her light by being kind. Always forgive one another. Love each other like tomorrow isn’t promised, because it isn’t. Be nice to animals. Dance when you hear music, and laugh until you cry. And when you are alone, and you think of her, look for the moon and stars. Give her kids and family hugs for her. Crack a joke or two and enjoy a sweet something from time to time.
No matter what you do to remember and honor her, don’t be sad; she is GREAT. She chose salvation, and we will see her again.
She is survived by her parents Billy Gene Dennie and Ann Dennie; spouse Joshua Browning; children Bailey Cullum, Ethan Cullum, Brandon Browning, Caydea Browning, and Payten Browning; brother Robert Shoemake and wife Robin; sisters Misty Baniewicz and husband Mark, and Evangeline Dennie; nephews Tyce Shoemake, Thomas McGuire, and Hunter Brackett; nieces Tatelynn Shoemake, Raigan McGuire, and Morgan Baniewicz; great-niece Ember Koning.
Pastor Philip Cook, with Payne Springs Baptist Church, will officiate for the Dennie family.
Pallbearers are Billy Dennie, Robert Shoemake, Tyce Shoemake, Bobby Mathis, Buddy Mathis, Cayden Browning, Ethan Cullum, and Roger Cullum.
